By adapting your projects to fit our current tooling options, you can save both time and money, avoiding potential delays caused by sourcing new tools.
When a design calls for tooling we don’t currently have, we see it as an opportunity to collaborate and find solutions. We've found that most designs can easily be adapted to our existing equipment, resulting in more competitive quotes and faster production. By aligning your designs with our capabilities from the start we can avoid unplanned disruptions and keep your project on track.
If a customer’s current design requires a tool that we don’t already have, we will first suggest suitable alternatives before adding any new tool costs to a quote. We do everything we can to prevent added expenses for our customers, although we are open to ordering new tools to meet specific customer needs. Our goal is always to offer solutions that help keep your project on schedule and within budget.
Without knowing a shop’s available tooling, customers often design based on assumptions, which can lead to avoidable costs and delays. For example, if a project calls for a zip tie, engineers may specify a lance tool to create the feature. If we don’t have that specific tool, it could add time and cost to your project, either through design discussions or the need to order new tooling.
However, in many cases, we find that their specific choice of tooling isn’t a firm requirement but instead is based on what seems readily available.
