In this week’s episode of SMU Stories, we sit down with Lance Thrailkill, the third-generation owner and CEO of All Metals Fabricating in Allen, TX. Lance is a proud graduate of SMU’s Cox School of Business, holding both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Accounting. He’s been with All Metals Fabricating since 2008, starting as the Controller before transitioning into the role of CEO.
The 1911 Group was founded by SMU alumni Lindsey Brown (Dedman Law ’13) and Mitchell Brown (Dedman College ’10 & Cox MBA ’20) to create a space for alumni to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships. Our mission is to leverage the strength of the SMU network to create opportunities for professional and personal growth. Through exclusive events and networking gatherings, we bring SMU alumni together to exchange ideas, engage with industry leaders, and form valuable connections. With over 300 members across diverse industries, we foster a thriving community dedicated to collaboration, growth, and shared success.
Thank you to our corporate sponsors—SMU Cox School of Business, Hilltop Property Tax, and Security National Bank—for making this project possible.
