In sheet metal fabrication, “ISO-certified manufacturer” and “ITAR-registered manufacturer” represent more than just third-party approval of shop processes. Maintaining compliance with these demanding certifications reflects a deep-seated commitment in every employee to delivering top-quality services to customers.
All Metals Fabricating complies with various certifications to maximize business efficiency, product quality, and customer success.
Our Texas manufacturing shop takes pride in complying with numerous certifications. These certifications and compliances ensure our shop is as efficient and reputable as possible and empower us to provide top-quality service to our customers.
Maintaining compliance involves undergoing regular internal audits and external reviews, which cover everything from tool calibration to process adherence, reinforcing our culture of quality and precision.
ISO certification is a globally recognized standard for quality management. Upholding our position as an ISO-certified manufacturer requires us to continually assess the effectiveness of our manufacturing practices, resulting in ongoing optimization that benefits all customers.
AMF is certified to the 2015 standard, which covers a broader range of shop services. This intensive process demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to high quality standards.
International Traffic In Arms Regulation (ITAR) compliance is required for companies that “ship or transmit items or technical data that has been designed, developed, adapted, or modified for military use under the United States Munitions List (USML).”
As an ITAR-registered manufacturer, AMF has protocols in place to handle sensitive and confidential information.
AS9100 is an aerospace-specific quality standard with unique requirements suited to this mission-critical industry. AS9100 builds off of ISO standards, adding guidelines for producing quality aerospace parts.
AMF’s sheet metal and machine shop is currently AS9100 compliant, and our leadership is considering certification to serve a broader range of aerospace customers. If you have opportunities that require AS9100 certification, please let us know!
UL 508A is the standard for industrial control panels and provides criteria to guarantee the safety of a control panel. AMF remains UL 508A compliant, but our official UL 508A certification has lapsed. We are prepared to become recertified if there is customer demand.
Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) ensures the protection of sensitive information shared between AMF and our customers. CMMC uses a tiered model that aligns with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) cybersecurity standards.
At AMF, we are committed to protecting government information in the aerospace and defense sectors. Despite significant costs, we maintain our CMMC compliance to meet industry-specific security requirements and secure our customers’ trust.
AMF’s approach to certifications is more than just checking boxes—we value the ability to enhance product safety and quality.
We’ll continue exploring other certifications that may benefit our customers, and we are actively looking for business to justify becoming AS9100 certified as well as re-certifying our UL 508A certification.
Additionally, we value customer input and are open to acquiring specific certifications that align with your needs and our business growth. For example, we are in the process of being designated as a UL 891 shop for one customer, which will allow us to manufacture and assemble switch gear for them.
